The Kessock inshore lifeboat and a coastguard rescue team from Inverness were scrambled to the waters, near the Highland capital, just after 4.30pm. Aberdeen Coastguard were also called in to help coordinate the search efforts. However, rescue teams later established the boat had snapped from a rope which had secured it to a rock.
