Medical helicopter sent to closed Highland road following two-car crash

A busy Highland road has been closed in both directions after a two-vehicle crash.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A87 road near Cluanie, Inverness.

A medical helicopter was also sent but no further information is available on the condition of those involved.

Recovery for the vehicles involved has now been arranged but the road remains closed in both directions.

Local reports suggest traffic is backed up for several miles and severe delays are expected.
