A trio of finalists have been picked from a field of more than 120 who took “selfies” with the mini Kelpies in Inverness.
Thousands of visitors are believed to have been drawn by the 1:10 scale models of the world famous Kelpies sculpture – two 100ft high horses’ heads installed at Falkirk – during their three-week stint at Inverness Campus, which ended at the weekend.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) ran the Selfies with Kelpies competition to coincide with the year of innovation, architecture and design.
The competition also helped encourage people to discover the public parkland, footpaths and cycle ways at the campus.
People uploaded their images to HIE’s social media pages and the organisation selected three finalists, which are now out to public vote on the social media channels.
The vote is open until Sunday, July 31 and the owner of the image with the most votes will win a summer goodie bag, including a trip to see the real Kelpies.
