The longest running female musical group in history are to mark their 50th anniversary with a date in Inverness.
The Three Degrees are best known for their enduring hit When Will I See You Again, and are officially recognised in the Guinness World Records as the longest-running female vocal group in history.
Original members Helen Scott and Valerie Holiday, as well as more recent addition Freddie Pool, are touring to celebrate 50 years in the music business.
The group from Philadelphia sold out a 28 date UK tour earlier this year and have added 15 new dates, including a night at Eden Court on Tuesday, September 27.
The band recently released their first studio album in 25 years and their previous live dates have been well received for their precise vocal harmonies.
The band are regarded as extremely influential in their genre and enjoyed their biggest success in the 1970s with a string of hits including Year of Decision and Take Good Care of Yourself.
Ms Holiday said: “For us, it is still exciting and we still enjoy our work.
“We are blessed with a wide age group appeal, from 15 to 65.”
The new album Strategy (Our Tribute to Philadelphia) features the trio’s own versions of a number of classics from their city, including a version of The Trammps hit Disco Inferno.
Tickets are available for the appearance in Inverness from the Eden Court box office.
