The body of a diver has been recovered following a multi-agency search operation in the Scapa Flow near Orkney. The man was believed to be diving on the German battleship SMS Markgraf. Police said they were alerted to reports of the diver, who went missing at 10.47am this morning. Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said the coastguard coordinated the search south-east of Houton Head. The coastguard helicopter from Stornoway, Stromness Coastguard Rescue Team and a dive vessel were all sent to search. The Flow is the scene of the scuttling of the German Fleet in Scapa Flow.
