Tourists on the isle of Mull will be given the chance to view the island’s famous eagles when a tour gets under way next Monday.
Viewing will begin at Tiroran in Glen Seilisdeir where the successful Mull Eagle Watch initiative has been located for the last three years.
Rachel French, a spokeswoman for the Mull Eagle Watch said: “We’re very excited to start this year’s viewing season again.
“Visitors will be treated to spectacular views of these ‘flying barn doors’ swooping high overhead and perching on trees close to the nest. They are a truly spectacular sight to see.
”There’s also lots more wildlife to see too including golden eagles, red deer, ravens and buzzards. We are keeping our fingers crossed that all goes to plan and the eagles’ eggs hatch early in May.”
The pair of eagles, Iona and Fingal, have proven popular and have appeared on numerous TV shows including the BBC’s Springwatch.
It is estimated that they generate £5 million for the island’s economy each year.
£60,000 of this goes back to local community projects.
