Residents in a Moray town are being given the chance to help plot its future as part of a pioneering planning procedure.
A large 3D map of Forres has been drawn up to help people spell out how they would like to see the community change.
It will go on display at the town hall on Saturday, from 10am-4pm, and then on Monday, September 12, from 5pm-8pm.
Volunteers have been leading the project – entitled Forres 2020 Vision – since it was launched in October last year.
Moray Council’s community support unit has helped, and the department’s Sylvia Jamieson has urged residents to turn out in force at the drop-in sessions.
She added: “Similar exercises have been carried out as part of the other projects elsewhere in Moray and they have been a great success.
“People have brought along some very good ideas to help create a vision of how they would like their local community to look.”
Suggestions made will have a direct impact on the future of green spaces and publicly-owned land and buildings over the next decade and beyond.
Similar projects are already taking place at Dufftown, Aberlour, Portgordon and Lhanbryde.
