An army bomb squad has been called to a north beach. Police cordoned off Nairn’s east beach at 7.30pm after an item was discovered washed ashore. The force is unable to confirm what the device is. An army bomb disposal team is said to be on its way. A police spokeswoman said: “The east beach has an area cordoned off. We have been in touch with the (army), they will deal with it themselves. “It looks like nothing much.”
