At least one person is believed to have died in a two-car smash on a Moray road last night.
The crash, at Braes of Enzie, near Buckie, took place at around 10.50pm.
Police, four ambulances, and three fire engines were called to the scene.
Crews, with 22 firefighters in total, used cutting gear to help free people from the cars.
The Press and Journal understands that at least one person has died as a result of the crash, however police were unable to confirm the nature of the injuries to those involved.
A number of people were also taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin to be treated for neck, back and shoulder injuries.
