Military wives from Moray are preparing to perform wartime tunes to raise money for the annual poppy appeal.
The Kinloss choir are teaming up with Elgin City Brass Band for the poignant concert to remember the fallen.
The musicians, who range in age from early 20s to early 70s, will go on stage at Elgin’s town hall tomorrow in the run-up to Armistice Day.
Choir member Jenn French has a husband in the army and joined the group 18 months ago.
She said: “It’s amazing to have women of all different ages coming together to share their experiences, and most importantly, to sing.
“We’ve all joined the choir for a variety of reasons, some choir members are in the RAF or army themselves.
“Some have family or partners serving in the armed forces, so it’s a nice way for us to get together and raise money during an important period of remembrance.”
During the show, named Stronger together, Moray remembers, the group will be reciting emotional tunes with a theme of remembrance, including Les Miserables’ Bring Him Home.
A collection will take place on the night to support the annual poppy appeal.
Gordon Michie, head of fundraising at Poppy Scotland, said: “Whether it’s coming along and showing your support at our concert or doing something completely different, every penny helps us to offer life-changing support to the armed forces community.”
The concert takes place at Elgin Town Hall tomorrow. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets cost £10, concessions £7.50, and are available on the night.
