Teams of model citizens put their craftsmanship on show in Moray over the weekend during a celebration of their hobby.
Model enthusiasts from across the north descended on Elgin Town Hall for the two-day event, and set up painstakingly constructed miniature replicas of boats, railway lines and aircraft.
The Elgin Model Fair began life almost 30 years ago – and it is the highlight of the calendar for many aficionados.
The RAF Kinloss model railway club exhibited a detailed re-imagining of a line from the 1950s.
Member Jeff Wetherell, who served at the airbase for years as an air electronics operator on Nimrod surveillance aircraft, said the Teesside line was an homage to his home county.
And he explained that, as all of the group’s members are former RAF Kinloss servicemen, they had decided to retain the club’s name despite the closure of the base in 2011.
Meanwhile, retired millwright Harry Reid showed off an elaborate replica of a water wheel and threshing machine.
The Dallachy Aeromodels group staged an astounding display of faithfully reproduced vintage aircraft.
Elgin Model Railway Club showcased an impressively detailed version of a village station and line its members had created.
The local outfit’s treasurer, Ian Noble, said he hoped the popular event would serve as a rallying cry for more youngsters to get involved with its juniors club.
Mr Noble said: “We get people from all over the north-east coming along to display their models or just to look at the exhibits.
“This is our 28th show, so we are pretty well established.
“But we are really keen to attract more people aged between 12 and 16 for our juniors club, they can learn a lot from it.”
