Investigating officers launched an appeal for information over the weekend, after the meeting was reported on Saturday night. It is understood that a man driving a black saloon car made contact with the youngsters at 6.30pm on Bremner Drive. But, following inquiries across this week, police yesterday confirmed that “nothing untoward” had taken place. The force said there was “no evidence of criminality”. A spokeswoman added that the driver of the car had been traced during the investigation, and thanked members of the public for their assistance.
