The patient transfer vehicle collided with a silver BMW 535 near Lhanbryde, at the A96 junction leading to Fogwatt. It is not known whether the vehicle was carrying any patients at the time, and police have been unable to confirm the extent of the injuries involved. A stretch of the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road between the two roundabouts at either end of Lhanbryde has also been closed. Police say the crash took place at 11am.
