A marked police van has hit a 10-year-old girl on a busy Moray road this evening. The A941 through Elgin to Lossiemouth has been closed for investigations to take place and the girl taken to hospital. The accident took place between the Bonny Earl Pub and Jet Filling Station in Elgin. It is not known how serious her injuries are, although it is understood they are not life threatening. Police at the scene confirmed a marked van was involved and that the road was closed for the foreseeable future. All vehicles are being diverted away from the area.
