The family of a young girl who was knocked down by a police van in Elgin have said she is now in a stable condition.
The 10-year-old was hit by a patrol van on Saturday evening and taken to hospital.
An investigation has been launched by the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC).
A statement from the family of the schoolgirl said: “Our 11-year-old daughter is now in a stable condition and is up and moving out of bed.
“We appreciate all the good wishes and support from everyone and the most important thing for us right now is to concentrate on our little girl’s recovery.”
