An 81-year-old woman is due to appear in court charged with injuring four pedestrians while allegedly driving dangerously in a Scottish village.
Marjory Stewart, of Bellshill, in Lanarkshire, is claimed to have crashed into three other vehicles during the incident in Portsoy in Aberdeenshire.
The pensioner is said to have failed to have kept her car under proper control and accelerated before colliding with a Ford Focus on the village square.
Pedestrian Gail McAllister is said to have been struck by the vehicle causing her to fall into another woman, Rhona Smith, knocking her to the ground.
They also claim that pedestrians Irene Morrison and Melanie Anderson, were also injured during the incident on July 5.
Ms Morrison is said to have suffered serious injuries after Stewart’s car allegedly collided with a parked motor trapping the woman in between both vehicles.
Stewart is also claimed to have crashed into a Hyundai 130 which collided with another vehicle on The Square.
All of the cars were allegedly damaged and the four women are claimed to have been injured.
The case against Stewart called at Banff Sheriff Court in Aberdeenshire today and was continued without plea until next month.
