Police in Elgin are appealing for witnesses after vandals left metal screws on a Moray road causing hundreds of pounds in car repairs.
The screws were left on Robertson Drive, New Elgin and the force say a number of cars were left with damaged tyres, with the repair bill stretching to a high-three figure sum.
The enquiry officer, PC Brian Donaldson said: “This incident has left a number of people with the inconvenience and cost of replacing tyres, and it was a hazard to road users in the area.
“If any person has had their vehicles damaged or has any knowledge on who carried out this offence, I would ask them to contact the Police on 101.”
