A man has suffered serious facial injuries after being viciously assaulted on a Moray street.
The 25-year-old was attacked at about 1.45am on Sunday in the Mid Street area of Keith near to Sodgers Lane West.
PC Jamie Dey, from the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit (DAVRU), said: “This attack left a young man with serious injuries that required hospital treatment.
“I would appeal to anyone who was out that night in the area and saw anything that could assist with our inquiries to contact police.
“In particular we would like to speak to a woman again who was there at the time and spoke to officers at the scene.
“Please phone 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”
PC Dey added: “North East Division is committed to tackling violent crime under Operation PINE and I can assure the public that every effort is made to keep people safe from the outset.
“Our activities though Operation PINE support the work we do day-in day-out to reduce the number of victims of crime and proactively focus on those criminals who are most prolific, commit most crime and cause the most issues within our communities.”
