Four men and a woman have denied their involvement in a lorry heist at an Aberdeen haulage yard.
Two articulated trucks were stolen from an industrial estate on the outskirts of Aberdeen and driven nearly 40 miles before being set ablaze last summer.
The vehicles, which contained furniture and alcohol, were emptied before being set on fire.
Following the theft, the burning lorries were discovered in a lay-by on the A97 near Gartly, after being taken from M&H Logistics at West Tullos.
Yesterday, Jordan Fenwick, 22; Guy Bandeen, 24; Jill Reid, 41; Alexander Henderson, 24 and John Stewart, 23 all appeared in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, accused of charges relating to the theft.
Fenwick, of Rona Place, Aberdeen, is alleged to acted with others on May 15 last year to force his way into the haulage yard before breaking into a warehouse and making off with two trucks.
It is further alleged that, three days later, his co-accused were in possession of the goods which had been taken from the lorries.
It is claimed the goods were subsequently discovered at Logieburn Farm, Elgin, where Reid and Bandeen stay.
The other accused deny the charges against them. They will go on trial later this year.
Emergency services were called when the lorries were discovered on fire at about 4.30am on Monday, May 16.
Sixteen firefighters took around 90 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
A police spokeswoman said at the time that officers had launched a joint investigation with the fire brigade to establish what was used to set the trucks alight.
In particular, they were looking to trace anyone with information about a burnt-out silver Renault Megane which was found in the Hazlehead area.
None of the accused face allegations of fire raising.
