An Australian football fan called Keith travelled to the Moray town which shares his name especially to see its Highland League football club compete.
Keith Pearce, from Sydney, was made guest of honour at Kynoch Park when he went to see Keith FC play Brora Rangers.
Mr Pearce works in London, at the High Commission of Australia, and journeyed almost 600 miles north to see the Maroons in action.
When the 51-year-old arrived at the ground, residents in Moray’s “Friendly Toon” lived up to their reputation by presenting him with his very own Keith FC top.
Last night, Mr Pearce praised the “great atmosphere” that prevailed despite the home side suffering a 4-1 defeat.
And he revealed that his love affair with the Moray town began on a holiday to Scotland more than 10 years ago.
Mr Pearce said: “After that, I began to take an interest in the football club and have been following their progress – mainly because of the connection to my name.
“I’d always thought I’d like to see them play one day, and a couple of friends and I just decided to make a weekend of it.
“We decided to take the hospitality package, and we received a great welcome.
“Now I would like to come back again some day, and hopefully see them win.”
Keith FC chairman, Andy Troupe, said: “Mr Pearce e-mailed me about this several months ago, and I was pleased he seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself.”
Club secretary Ryan Rodger added that the side has a following among people called Keith across the planet.
He added: “We’ve sent replica tops to New Zealand, Florida and California – all to do with the Keith name.”
