More than 200 primary school children have braved wind, rain and sleet to take part in a Moray cross country event.
The grounds surrounding Gordonstoun were turned into a race course for the afternoon as students pounded the muddy ground.
Organisers praised the enthusiasm of the young athletes who set a searing pace despite the slippery conditions.
Supporters cheered on from the sidelines as 18 schools took part in the annual event.
The results from two boys and girls from each school were combined to crown the winners in each age group.
West End Primary claimed the bragging rights for the P5 category, Bishopmill Primary was crowned as the P6 champion and Applegrove Primary came out on top in the P7 races.
After a warm-up the runners set off through the woodland surrounding the school before returning to cross the finish line. A ceremony was then held to award the youngsters their medals.
Robert McVean, head of Gordonstoun’s junior school, said: “Despite the wintry weather conditions it was fantastic to welcome all 18 participating primary school teams.
“Competitions such as these cannot happen without the support of the accompanying staff, for which we are extremely grateful.
“Very well done to all those who took part and thank you to all those who turned up to support with such enthusiasm.”
