A series of photographs, taken by Moray school pupils for an exhibition, have been snapped up by eager collectors.
Within hours of going on sale, 15 of the special prints by Elgin High School students had already been sold to raise money for charity.
The gallery at Moray College UHI has been organised to encourage S4, S5 and S6 photography students to devise innovative ways of taking portraits and landscapes.
Morgan Riddell, 15, has nine black and white pictures displayed in the gallery, including scenic images from a recent trip to Amsterdam, a touching image of a young boy and an atmospheric view of a bridge.
The experience of seeing her work displayed in a gallery has given the teenager the impetus to pursue a photography career in the future.
She said: “I wasn’t really thinking of photography for a career when I started the course, but I’ve loved looking into it.
“I like taking pictures of the water because of the way it can look really different depending on the light. And it is very photogenic.
“It has been a great opportunity to have all my work on show. I didn’t really know what to expect at first, but it has been amazing.”
Money raised from sales during the exhibition will be donated to charity Friends of the Oak, which helps support a palliative care unit in Elgin.
Art teacher Jess Standfast said: “It’s the first year we have done it, but we’re hoping it’s going to become a regular event. There was an enormous amount of variety from the pupils.”
The free exhibition runs in The Gallery at Moray College UHI until Thursday, March 9.
