Police have appealed for witnesses after a 59-year-old man was the victim of an unprovoked attack at a north-east bar.
The incident occurred at Dicey Riley’s bar in Elgin’s High Street at around 12.10am on Saturday.
Officers are trying to trace two men, aged around 27 and 25, who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The first man is described as between 6ft and 6ft 2ins tall with short fair or possibly ginger hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a long sleeved white shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
The second man is described as between 5ft 9ins and 5ft 10ins tall with a stocky build. He had short dark hair and was wearing dark coloured jeans or trousers with a long sleeved light blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
It is understood the pair had been in the Victoria bar earlier in the evening with a larger group of men and possibly spoke with Irish accents. They are thought to have entered the Dicey Riley’s bar at around midnight.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
