One Press & Journal reader will be enjoying the bright spring weather in their garden in refulgent new surroundings.
Marjorie Park has won a summerhouse, worth over £3,000, for the back garden of her Speyside home.
The retired teacher from Fochabers was already planning a revamp of her lawn before entering the competition to win the luxury prize, supplied by Fettes Sawmill from Muir of Ord.
And Mrs Park has embarked on a bigger shake-up of her garden than originally planned.
She said: “It’s obviously going to make my garden much better now. It’s going to allow that bit more privacy than we had before.
“It’s going to be a nice place to sit and enjoy the weather – that’s the whole idea anyway.
“I’ve already been thinking about how I can do up the garden, just with little additions. It’s going to be a great project for me over the next few months.”
Mrs Park collected four tokens from the Press & Journal before being selected randomly from more than 3,000 entries.
The summerhouse from family-run Fettes Sawmill comes with double-glazing and roof shingles, so it can be used as a workshop or office.
The retired teacher explained she had never expected to win the top prize when she started collecting the tokens.
She added: “It was just a happy coincidence that I was already thinking about doing up my garden. I don’t do competitions at all. It was just a total whim.
“I got thinking about all the things I could do with it and decided it was worth entering.”
