Police officer at the Coastguard station in Burghead
A search for a missing person has been launched this evening in Moray.
A spokesman for the RNLI confirmed the Buckie lifeboat was dispatched at around 10.15pm to assist police in the search for a missing person around the Burghead area.
Coastguard teams from Lossiemouth, Burghead and Nairn have all been sent out, as well as the Moray Inshore Rescue Organisation team.
The Rescue 951 coastguard helicopter has been sent out from Inverness.
UPDATE:A police spokesman has confirmed that the missing person has been found safe and well.
A spokesman for the coastguard confirmed at about 0.45am that teams had been stood down.
