A workman delivering gas to a Moray home has been treated for shock following an explosion.
Two men were topping up an LPG tank at a house on the A941 Elgin road on the outskirts of Rothes this morning when it ignited.
Windows were smashed at the house following the blast, which scorched trees up to 20 yards away.
The delivery truck also caught light in the explosion, which happened shortly before 9am.
A fire spokesman said: “When we arrived it was apparent there had been quite a substantial explosion. It later emerged that in the process of decanting LPG from an old tank to a new tank it had spilt all over the ground and ignited.
“An ambulance was called and treated one workman for shock.”
