A young man spoke of how he had lost his “pride and joy” after his car skidded onto its roof on a busy Moray road.
The man, understood to be in his early 20s, was the only person in the vehicle when it left the A941 Elgin to Lossiemouth road.
His blue Nissan 350Z showed signs of damage to its tyre after it ended up in trees beside the road.
The driver was uninjured, but was heartbroken at the damage to his crashed vehicle.
Traffic slowed to a crawl while a fellow driver helped direct traffic around the scene of the accident.
The car was travelling on the northbound carriageway and came off the road at a notorious bend.
It was understood the driver lost control as he was going round the corner, crossing into the other lane.
The car then hit the verge and a tree before coming to a standstill.
Lossiemouth Community Council chairman, Mike Mulholland, warned about the dangers of the road between Elgin and Lossiemouth in wet conditions.
He said: “Especially in the summertime, people have got to watch – the rain we get is usually quite heavy.
“In the summer, people get complacent, they don’t adjust their speed.
“Over the years, that has been one of the worst roads in the area.”
A police spokesman added: “We received a call at 14.55 to a car on its roof.
“The male driver was uninjured.
“No other vehicles were involved in the accident.”
