A 76-year-old was cut out of his car and taken to hospital tonight after a car crash in the middle of a Moray town.
The emergency services were called to the High Street in Aberlour just after 8pm, after reports of a silver Renault Twingo landing on its side following an accident.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Fire teams used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the pensioner, who was then taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin for treatment.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the man was taken in for treatment as a precaution and his injuries are believed to have been minor.
The road was closed to traffic for more than an hour while the emergency services attended the scene.
