Police were called to the scene on the A96 between Fochabers and Mosstodloch at around 8am. Commuters complained of major rush-hour disruption in the area with tailbacks spotted from some distance along the route. The crash itself is understood to have involved a white Skoda Octavia and blue Ford Fiesta. A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed the scene had been cleared by around 10am and said a recovery vehicle had been called. She added that officers did not believe the crash to be serious. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed medical personnel were also in attendance. He said: “We received a call at 8.09am today to attend a road traffic collision on the A96 near Fochabers. “We dispatched two ambulances to the scene. No patients travelled with us to hospital.”
