At least three people have been injured, including a child, in a crash near Elgin.
Police and ambulance service are at the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road, at Barmuckity, where two vehicles have collided at about 10am.
One person was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and is believed to be in a serious condition.
While an adult, believed to be the the mother, and a child have been taken to Dr Gray’s.
It is understood there may be more people injured.
The road was closed between Elgin and Lhanbryde but re-opened after 6pm.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 0959 hours today to attend a road traffic collision on the A96 near the Pansport roundabout.
“We dispatched three ambulances, a paramedic response unit, our special operations response team, British Association of Immediate Care Scotland responders and an officer to the scene. We were also backed up by the coastguard helicopter.
“Two patients, one adult and one child, have been taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital by ambulance.
“One patient has been taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by coastguard helicopter.”
