A bird hide on an estate near Forres has been completely destroyed by fire, police have said.
Officers in the Moray town are appealing for information following the fire, which occurred sometime between Saturday and Monday at the Chapelton Farm Wetland and Wildlife Hide.
PC Sean Wood said: “The damage caused by fire to the wooden bird hide has understandably caused much sadness and disappointment to members of the community here in Forres and I would urge anyone who may have knowledge of the circumstances of when and how the fire came to be started, to come forward with any information.”
A bird hide is a shelter that is used to observe wildlife, especially birds, at close quarters.
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101.
