Emergency crews called to electricity pole fire

Emergency crews have been called to deal with a north-east electricity pole which caught fire.

The fire service was told of the issue in Nether Blairock, near Buckie, at around 2.15pm.

A spokeswoman said: “The pole was well alight at the top when they arrived.

“They are waiting for hydro electricity engineers before they can do anything else.”
