The Highland Discovery app was put together with work by primary and secondary school children as well as students of Napier University. It was designed with the new Perth to Inverness dualling programme in mind to help visitors discover some of the “hidden gems” along the A9. The app features culture and history, offline maps, curated journeys and practical information about attractions. The app went live yesterday for both Android and iPhone and so far has between 500 and 1000 downloads, 20% from overseas.
