A group of Moray parents are a step closer to realising their dream of reviving a neglected play park.
Campaigners aiming to bring back the Well Road site in Buckie have been awarded £12,000 after successful bids to the town’s common good fund and the Bucks For Buckie scheme, which was voted for by members of the public.
The grassy patch has been empty for about a decade after the final piece of play equipment was removed by the council.
Mothers Rachel Cormack, Gail Imlach and Michelle Gauld have now raised about £35,000 of their £50,000 target to reverse its decline.
Mrs Gauld said: “Everyone has been so supportive.
“We’ve already got applications in for some more money and have some more fundraisers planned. I never expected to be so far on at this stage.”
