Extra buses will be run in Moray next month to encourage visitors to a massive whisky extravaganza to leave the car at home.
Thousands of tourists are expected in May to attend the 500 events that make up the annual Spirit of Speyside Festival.
Now Stagecoach has announced that extra services will be run between Elgin and Dufftown during the event to cope with the expected demand.
Services will continue to be run hourly on the number 36 route on Sunday May 6 as well as on the May Day bank holiday, Monday May 7.
People with tickets for a festival event are also being offered 50% off the standard journey fare.
John Blyth, manager of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, said: “It’s great to be working with Stagecoach again this year to provide a transport link to all our festival goers.
“With the hourly service it really makes sense to leave the car at home and use the Stagecoach bus service.”
