A man has been rushed to hospital after being released from his car by firefighters, following a three-vehicle smash on a Moray road.
The man’s dark blue Renault Megane suffered extensive damage in the collision, which took place at 3.45pm at the junction to the Longmorn whisky distillery on the A941 Elgin to Rothes road.
Another man who was in the car at the time was able to make his own way from the wreckage, but was described as “walking wounded” and also taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin.
The collision involved a blue Ford Transit van and a white Mercedes SUV as well.
A stretch of the road remains closed, with diversions in place, while the stricken vehicles are removed from the scene.
