Owners of classic cars and motorcycles have been encouraged to take part in a charity drive which will visit some of the north-east’s most stunning landmarks.
The route for the Clan Castle Cavalcade will take in several of the region’s historic monuments.
All proceeds from the event on Saturday June 9 will go towards helping people suffering from cancer.
Participating motorists will begin their jaunt at Gordon Castle in Fochabers at 9am, before heading to Huntly Castle for 11am.
The drivers will then stop off at Leith Hall in Kennethmont, the Corgarff restaurant and knitwear shop, Drumin Castle near Glenlivit and Balvenie Castle at Dufftown.
They will round the day off by returning to Gordon Castle for supper at its walled garden restaurant.
Last year, a Ferrari F355, MGC Roadster, Porsche 911 and Morris Minor convertible were among the eye-catching vehicles involved.
The cavalcade is now in its fifth year but Clan’s area manager, Tracey Sellar, explained that touring castles is a new twist.
She said: “This will provide a superb backdrop for people to share their passion for classic cars and motorcycles with others.
“We’re keen to hear from owners who would like to join us with their classic cars and motorcycles, which will raise awareness and funds for the work Clan Cancer Support carries out to support people affected by cancer.”
A minimum of £25 in sponsorship is required from vehicle owners to enter.
For information and a registration pack to take part, people should contact Clan’s Elgin office on 01343 544132 or email elgin@clanhouse.org.
