A fleet of classic cars and motorcycles toured the north-east over the weekend to raise money for charity.
The popular Clan Castle Cavalcade event set off from Gordon Castle, near Fochabers, and took participants on a tour of Speyside and Aberdeenshire.
Participants stopped off at Huntly Castle, Leith Hall and Corgarff Castle – much to the delight of vintage car fans who stopped to admire the motors as they passed.
Piper George Neish came out to support the event, providing a backdrop of traditional music as the fleet of cars and motorbikes drove through Huntly.
Zara Gordon Lennox, who owns Gordon Castle with husband Angus, was delighted to be part of this year’s event after lovingly restoring the property over the course of eight years.
She said: “We were overjoyed to host the Clan Cavalcade event at Gordon Castle. It is such a wonderful local charity that supports cancer sufferers and their families.
“We felt very strongly that this event was something we really wanted to support as so many people are affected by this dreadful disease.”
Upon returning to Gordon Castle the group of drivers were treated to a meal in the castle’s walled garden restaurant.
Clan Cancer services area manager Tracey Sellar was delighted at the success of the event.
She said: “The event not only allowed people the opportunity to get together and enjoy their passion for vintage and class cars and motorcycles, it also helped to raise awareness and funds for the work Clan Cancer Support carries out to support people affected by cancer, not only in Moray, but across north-east Scotland, Orkney and Shetland.”
