People parking at one of Moray’s most scenic beaches are being asked to donate money towards improving access to the shore.
Directors of the Findhorn Village Conservation Company yesterday placed an “honesty box” at the car park beside its seafront for visitors to drop cash into.
All proceeds from the scheme will be spent on improvements to beach access.
Group chairman, Frank Allan, said: “We want people to understand that this is a voluntary charge, but by contributing to the work of the company they will also be helping maintain and improve amenities in Findhorn.”
An honesty box will ask all users of cars and motorbikes to pay £1 for day parking, while camper vans in designated bays will be marked and a charge of £10 will be requested for an overnight stay.
