Moray golf club closes following man’s death on the course

Strathlene Golf Club has closed to the public today after the tragic death of a man on the course.

The man is understood to have suffered a heart-related medical issue and died playing the game he loved in Buckie yesterday.

Police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene at around 3.20pm to reports that a man had collapsed.

He sadly died at the scene.

Police have stressed there is no suspicious circumstances and that a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
