The university has a rural campus on the Altyre Estate near Forres to allow students to study in scenic surroundings. Yesterday, Moray MSP Richard Lochhead told the Scottish Government that the region would help the institution in any way it could. He said: “Like many places in Scotland, Moray has a deep connection with the Glasgow School of Art. “If there’s anything that the people of Moray can do to help the school following the fire, then we stand ready to do so.” Culture minister Fiona Hyslop said: “Messages of support and solidarity with the staff from people and institutions are well received at this time. “It’s important for the staff to know the support that is there.”
