An electric car charging point on Speyside that was taken out of operation by vandals armed with Creme Eggs is now working again after months of disruption.
The ports in Aberlour had been out of action since April after the chocolate snacks were used to disable the entire site.
News of the unusual method to vandalise the council-owned equipment attracted attention from across the country.
The disruption meant motorists who depended on the renewable technology had to drive to Tomintoul, Grantown or Elgin to use other facilities.
However, the charger at the Speyside Visitor Centre is now operational again after repairs were carried out by contractors.
Village businesswoman Jennifer Robertson, who frequently reported the damage to contractors responsible for the electrical equipment in an effort to get it repaired, said she was delighted at the development.
She added: “I hope vandals think twice before they waste taxpayers’ money again.”
Moray Council has revealed the cost of damage caused by the Easter treats has been valued at £800.
A spokesman said: “It is disappointing when publicly available facilities are damaged by vandals.
“Repairs to the electric vehicle charging point have now been carried out.”
