A woman has been pulled from the water off the coast of a Moray town.
Coastguard crews received a call saying a woman was seen in distress near Buckie harbour just after 7pm.
Ambulance staff and police officers are at the scene as well.
A coastguard spokeswoman said: “A search and rescue operation has been launched by HM Coastguard after a woman was spotted in the water in the harbour at Buckie.
“It began around 7pm when a member of the Buckie Coastguard Rescue Team saw her and raised the alarm.
“Buckie Coastguard Rescue Team, along with the Buckie RNLI lifeboat were sent to the scene.
“HM Coastguard’s search and rescue helicopter from Inverness was also called in to fly the woman to Aberdeen Infirmary.
“Aberdeen Coastguard Rescue Team has been sent to the hospital to secure the landing area for the helicopter.”
