One of the more unusual sights at the Elgin Food and Drink Festival was the ambulance situated just outside the town hall.
It was present as part of the Scottish Ambulance Service’s recruitment drive, as it is keen to attract more people to apply for vacancies in Moray.
The service recently announced there will be eight new funded positions in Elgin.
Half of those will be funded by the healthboard, while the other 50% will be funded by the service themselves.
Ambulance Paramedic Paul Truslove was at the stall and was excited about the amount of interest they received.
He said: “We haven’t undertaken a recruitment drive like this for a long time but the level of interest we have had has been absolutely brilliant.
“Many of our visitors have been children but there have also been a lot of adults and I would say around 20 expressed a serious interest in a role with the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“We are hopeful that Elgin will get another ambulance to cover the area as, at present, there is just one covering night.
“If the recruitment drive is successful, then the service wants to have two vehicles active, 24-hours-a-day.
Mr Truslove added: “The recruits we are looking for are people who are caring. You have to want to help people. That’s basically what we do.”
