A man has been reported to the procurator fiscal following a police investigation into the cause of a collision between a lorry and a school bus last Thursday.
The incident occured on the B9117 near Keith, when a Rothiemay Primary School bus collided with a lorry at around 3.30pm.
This resulted in the bus driver being taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as a precautionary measure.
A number of pupils suffered cuts and bruises from the shattered glass, but nobody was seriously injured and all were treated at the scene.
This caused the road to be blocked in both directions during the afternoon, but it was cleared from around 5pm.
The lorry driver was uninjured and the police subsequently launched an investigation into what happened.
A Moray Council spokeswoman said at the time: “We can confirm that a school bus carrying 10 children from Rothiemay Primary School was involved in an incident on Thursday, September 13.
“All children on board were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident, but as there is a police investigation currently ongoing into the cause of the incident it would be inappropriate for us to comment further.
“However, we are offering continued support to the pupils who were involved and their families.”
