A police spokesman said: “The serious collision, involving two vehicles, happened on the A96 outside Brodie Castle.
“Those occupying the vehicles are being attended to paramedics.”
The road is currently closed with diversions in place. Lighter vehicles travelling west will be diverted north, on back roads behind Brodie Castle vehicles travelling east will diverted south through Earlsmill.
These roads will not be suitable for HGVs which will be held on the A96 until the road can be reopened.
Shortly after 5.30pm the road-reopened and the incident was closed by police.
