A 27-year-old man has been charged with a number of alleged road traffic offences, following a collision on the B9013 near to Roseisle in Moray in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision on the B9013 Burghead road at Spindle Muir, near Roseisle.
The incident occured at about 2am, with the road closed while emergency services attended the scene.
It involved a a BMW car and a Vauxhall Vivaro minibus and the driver of the minibus was taken to hospital.
Police Scotland confirmed the driver of the BMW was traced on Sunday afternoon, taken to hospital, and subsequently charged in relation to a number of alleged road traffic offences including failing to stop and report a collision.
A police helicopter was called on Sunday to help search for him after he left the scene of the incident and officers used torches to scour the woods for him.
He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and is anticipated to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court at a later date.
