Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted theft in Elgin.
A 47-year-old woman was walking in Doocot Park near New Elgin Road when she was approached by a man who demanded items from her around 7pm on Thursday evening.
The woman suffered a minor injury and was left shaken by the incident. No weapons were involved.
The suspect is described as white, aged 20-25 years old, 6ft tall, short dark hair, gaunt features, wearing a light coloured short sleeve t-shirt, light jeans and dark trainers.
Detective Constable Sarah Dawson, “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area of Doocot Park at the time and saw the suspect or anyone who recognises his description to contact Police. Following the incident the suspect ran off through the park in the direction of North Street.”
