A 51-year-old man has been charged in relation to a series of alleged and attempted break-ins in the Elgin area.
The incidents include a break-in to the Pancake Place, High Street, on October 23, an attempted break-in to Hair and Body Mechanics, South Street, on September 28, a theft by housebreaking at JC Dawson’s Butchers, Batchen Street, on September 16, and a break-in at the Mental Health and Wellness Centre, Batchen Street, on August 17.
Elgin sergeant Scott Brander said: “We are grateful to members of the community who have assisted us while inquiries have been ongoing.
“We continue to urge anyone who sees any suspicious activity to contact us as soon as possible with as much information on 101.”
The man is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court today.
