A talented young baker has been crowned the winner of the Moray Junior Bake Off after creating a huge chocolate cake topped with Rudolph the Reindeer.
Ruby Jappy, 10, won the event at the Oakwood Cookery School near Elgin yesterday, which was created to encourage keen youngsters to learn baking skills.
The young chef defeated more than 30 other talented entrants to create the most stunning and delicious Christmas-themed design of the day.
Winter wonderlands and parcel-themed cakes were created by children as young as nine, with one including a stash of tablet hidden inside his Christmas trees.
More than £500 was raised for the Moray School Bank from the event, which supports children across the region who cannot afford uniforms for class or warm winter clothes.
Organiser Debi Weir said: “The main point is to encourage children to learn new skills and to be interested in cooking. I’m blown away with the standard and the designs they’ve come up with.”
